Are you able to commit to giving monthly? Nothing impacts a shelter dog’s life more than sponsorship! Thanks to our partners and volunteers, we have continued to transport dogs throughout the pandemic, but the tragedy in Ukraine has significantly slowed spaces available for Romanian dogs. The sad truth is that many of our dogs will wait months or even years at the shelter for their new life, while others are too old or compromised to travel. Sponsorship provides a reliable stream of funds to pay for their basic needs and improve their life at SFD.

Click through to see just a few of our many dogs. Select from one of them, or ask us to pick (or help you pick) a dog from those in need. You can give your special friend a new name if you like, and receive photos and updates on their lives.

We offer three levels of sponsorship: $25 Silver Sponsor, $35 Gold Sponsor and $50 Platinum Sponsor. We also welcome partial sponsorships in any amount of $5 or more. Instructions on how to sponsor are at the bottom of each dog’s story.
